Abstract

Mesona chinensis Benth has brought high nutrition and economic value to producers and consumers. The documents relating to production as well as research on technical solutions in the production of Mesona chinensis are still minimal comparing with the value of this plant has brought, so a study on the effects of planting time on growth, yield, and quality of Mesona chinensis Benth was conducted in Cao Bang province in the summer-autumn crop of 2019. The experiment includes three formulas: F1 (planting on 10/07), F2 (planting on 25/07), F3 (planting on 10/08). The study results determined that F2 (planting on July 25th) gives the highest yield of Mesona chinensis Benth to 65.7 tons/ha and the highest economic efficiency. Specifically, Mesona chinensis Benth in F2 has a viscosity of 4.2 cP; pectin content is 0.47 mg/ml.
