Abstract


Active teaching, interactive teaching or the method of active education has been of deep and profound interest to educators across all fields. For the purpose of improving the quality of foreign language teaching and learning at Military Technical Academy, I have been studying to apply new teaching methods. Particularly, active teaching and learning has improved learners’ motivation and enhanced learning. For Lao and Cambodian students, characterised by their shyness and reluctance to engage in communication, active teaching has helped them lose their inhibitions and become confident and active in acquiring knowledge in class as well as at home in the process of learning Vietnamese as a foreign language.
