Abstract

With a pure heart and profound humanity, Ngoc Giao’s prose has gone to the end of human suffering and loss to speak up to express, to show sympathy, and to protect many forms of people in society. In the world of character of the writer, the peasants who had endured the tragedies of the times and personal tragedies were portrayed in a very mundane but highly emotional way. It leads to a richer reflection of the plight of Vietnamese farmers in the first half of the twentieth century. Via surveys, statistics, analyzes and comparisons of the world of characters in the Ngoc Giao’s prose, we initially realized that Vietnamese farmers were very truthful and touched by tragedies such as the tragic drama of poor life; the tragedy rejected and endured isolation, compassion; the tragedy must leave the hometown, country.
