Abstract


Currently, tourism is a fast-growth industry, accounting for a large proportion of the economic structure of Vietnam. The researchers used the method of analysis, document synthesis, the rural rapid assessment method, the chart and map methods to assess humanistic tourism potential in Pu Luong nature reserve. The research results have shown that: Humanistic tourism resources in the Pu Luong are remarkably diverse, with unique tangible and intangible cultural characteristics of the Muong and Thai ethnic minority. Abundant labor resources, the facilities are getting better and better, parallel with tourism development policies of the Management Board of the Natural Reserve and the local authorities are important humanistic tourism potentials in tourism development in Pu Luong. It is the basis for diversified tourism development such as cultural-spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, resort tourism,... The tourism development is based on human resources contributes to raising incomes for local communities, reducing pressure on nature conservation.
