Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the determinants of Vietnam’s agricultural export to the European Union (EU) market. Feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) method is applied to correct the heteroskedasticity in this case. The research results show that GDP, GDP per capita and level of trade freedom have positive impacts on Vietnam’s agricultural export to the EU market. Meanwhile, geographical distance and landlocked status of the importing countries have negative impacts on Vietnam’s agricultural export to this market. These results are the scientific basis to propose some solutions to promote Vietnam’s agricultural export to the EU market in the coming time.
