Abstract


Trung Khanh district of Cao Bang province is considered as a cultural heritage region of the mountainous countryside of Cao Bang which is very suitable for community-based tourism development (CBT). However, at present products and service of CBT in Trung Khanh is still not diverse to meet the needs of tourists. This study is conducted to evaluate current service quality of CBT in the study area using both secondary and primary data connected with field survey and rural rapid assessment. The primary data is collected from 120 households participating in community tourism activities and 50 tourists visited in community tourism sites in Trung Khanh district. The study result indicated that (1) the potential of CBT in Trung Khanh district, (2) the actual situation of CBT in Trung Khanh district of Cao Bang province. The findings of study suggested meaningful solutions to promote CBT services associated with Tay and Nung traditional culture in the study area.
