FORMULATION OF CAPSULES CONTAINING MOC MIET TU

Abstract


This study aims to develop the formulation of Moc miet tu capsules. Moc miet tu was extracted by the Soxhlet method with 70% ethanol in the following conditions: herbal/solvent 1/10 (w/v), extraction time in 16 hours. Capsules were prepared by granulation method with the presence of Avicel PH101 and lactose diluents, PVP K30 10% mixed with 5% ethanol 50%, magnesium stearate and talc lubricants, capsules zero. The quality assessment process was in accordance with the standards of Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia V, disintegration between 4.4 minutes and 7.8 minutes, mass uniformity within ± 10% compared to the average weight, saponin content from 5.2% to 5.4%.
