Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the factors influencing the linkage participation decision between farmers and enterprises in organic tea production in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province. Using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis method, the study identified seven factors affecting the linkage participation decision of farmers and enterprises, including: (1) the implementation of production process; (2) access to input materials; (3) manpower for production; (4) area of land for tea cultivation; (5) product consumption market; (6) product purchase price and (7) reputation of the enterprises. In which, "product purchase price" and "the implementation of the production process" were two decisive factors in participating in the linkage of farmers and enterprises. The study recommends that in order for farmers to be willing to participate in linkage in organic tea production, enterprises need to support farmers to comply with the production process and ensure a stable consumption market. In addition, enterprises also need to pay attention to the interests of tea growers and create farmers' trust with enterprises.
