ASSESS THE RESULT IN TREATMENT OF SUBMANDIBULAR GLAND SIALOLITHIASIS AT HA NOI NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF ODONTO- STOMATOLOGY FROM 2006 TO 2015

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the result of the removal surgary of calculi in submandibular salivary gland at the Ha Noi National Hospital of Odonto- Stomatology from 2006 to 2015.
Subject and methods: There were 102 patients with calculies were diagnosed and treated by surgery. We conducted a retrospective and prospective, descriptive study.
Results: Patients were treated mainly by surgery, the removal of calculi via intraoral approach accounts for 38.2%, and the removal of submandibular gland was 61.8%. The complications was low rate, including: bleeding complication (2.9%), infection (6.9%), dry mouth (2.9%), tounge numbness (2 cases). The recurrent rate was 18.6%.
