EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT CUSHIONS ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF MONG BROILER CHICKENS IN THAINGUYEN

This study to compare the effects of different paving material on the adaptability and productivity of Mong broiler chickens in Thainguyen. The experiment was conducted in Thainguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in 2017 with total of 180 chickens (1 to 112 days old), divided into two groups, each group was divided into 3 sub-groups, 30 chickens/sub-group. The control group using rice husk was treated by chemical. The experiment group have 9.5 kg of rice husk + 0.1 kg of fresh piper lolot + 0.2 kg of fresh M. azedarach leaves + 0.2 kg of fresh lemongrass, all mixed thoroughly and used as paving material for chickens from the beginning, 30 days later, the leaves of them were cut and sprinkled all over the area of 10 m2 of bedding cages. These diets of chickens were used as feed of Japfa Comfeed Vietnam. The results showed that the experiment group using leaf in the rice husk had a good effect on weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and feed cost per one kg body weight gain. The experiment group have weight and body weight gain higher than control group with no significant difference (P> 0.05), but FCR was lower than control group with significant difference (P < 0.05).
