Abstract

In this paper, the dynamic analysis and optimal design for lifting mechanism of medium dump truck is performed by simulation method. The multi-body dynamic model of lifting mechanism is established in the ADAMS/View software. In this model, the coordinate parameters of the connection points between the parts of the lifting mechanism are considered as the design variables. The design sensitivity coefficient in the dynamic analysis is used to evaluate the influence of the design variables on the dynamic criteria of the lifting mechanism. On that basis, several design variables and its appropriate range of variation are selected for optimal design of the lifting mechanism with the objective to minimize the average and maximum values of the hydraulic cylinder's power consumption, force and torque acting on the support rack of the lifting mechanism.
