Substantial causes of these problems are lacking proper learning methods; a large amount of difficult knowledge; the students’ individual problems, such as shy, self-deprecating…; lacking suitable methods of using the textbooks and references. From these findings, the article proposes some recommendations to the university and first-year students themselves to reduce psychological difficulties in learning activities.
