ENHANCING THE APPLICATION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES INTO TEA PRODUCTION IN THAI NGUYEN CITY

Abstract

The research uses the descriptive statistical and SWOT method to assess the current status, recognizing some difficulties and limitations in the application of scientific and technological advances into tea production by farmers in Thai Nguyen city such as: infrastructure, education level of producers is limited, labor efficiency is not high, many households still produce by traditional methods... Research has seen the causes leading to the limitation, it proposed some solutions such as strengthening the coordination between scientific and technological advances transfer officies, local government and farmer households; raising the level of education, knowledge and awareness of producers and traders; improve agricultural infrastructure in the locality; to promote the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances models in tea production; researching the process and policy to facilitate for farmer households; market solution to promote the application of scientific and technological advances in tea production in Thai Nguyen.
