Abstract

Reading comprehension and writing informational texts are indispensable skills for students in the context of today's information explosion society, while the 2006 general education program has not paid enough attention to this issue. That leads to some limitations on the process of student capacity development. Because, each individual wants to learn, work, and communicate effectively, they need to have the skills to receive and create information effectively. It was not until the 2018 general education program that the concept of informational text was mentioned and appropriate teaching time was spent. Therefore, we carry out integrated teaching of reading comprehension and writing advertising text, which is a common type of informational text in life for 10th grade students, at My Xuyen high school in Soc Trang province. This measure is intended to help students form and develop skills in reading and writing informational texts. Through the organization of experimental teaching, we collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness and affirm the positive meaning of integrated teaching of reading and writing information that helps students learn practice and communicate better.
