Callicarpa candicans (Burm. F.) Hochr) has been used in Vietnamese traditional medicine for the treatment of several diseases such as a tonic for new mothers, help muscles strong, as drugs to treat some diseases of the liver, stomach pain, cure pimples, ulceration. From the ethyl acetate extract of Callicarpa candicans (Burm. F) Hochr. led to the isolation of ursolic acid (1), 5,4'-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone (2), luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3). Their chemical structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic methods including FT-IR, FT-ICR/MS, 1D and 2D NMR and comparison of spectral data with previously reported values.
