Abstract

The work The Tale of Luc Van Tien by Nguyen Dinh Chieu is a place to preserve many traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese nation. In particular, the behavioral culture of Kieu Nguyet Nga has the characteristics of the Vietnamese behavioral culture in general and the people of the South in particular. Putting the behavior culture of Kieu Nguyet Nga in comparison with Thuy Kieu (The Tale of Kieu) by Nguyen Du, we will see similarities and differences. The article uses the main research methods of analysis, comparison and interdisciplinary method to clarify the similarities and differences in the cultural behavior of Kieu Nguyet Nga and Thuy Kieu. The basic causes of these similarities and differences are historical era, regional culture, subject matter, and author's style. These are also important notes when approaching The Tale of Kieu and The Tale of Luc Van Tien in general, the two main female characters in these two Nom stories in particular.
