Abstract


During the daily life of people in Thai Nguyen city, there are many people usually use well-drill water beside clean water that were provided by the water plant. In well-drill water often contaminates heavy metals, especially iron (Fe), which makes the yellow cloudy water and fishy smell. If the iron content exceeds limitation, it will pollutes the water source and causes diseases as heart, joints, liver cancer,... greatly affect to human health. From there, the article presents a method for determining content of iron in well-drill water by photometry method and compared with the permitted limit of Vietnam standard, to ensure the quality of clean and safe water source for people in Thai Nguyen city.
