Abstract

Sign language is an important communication tool for deaf people using body gestures and facial expressions. In sign languages, the words are encoded by a combination of different forms and expressions of the body. With a large number of words and distinct grammar, and there are very few tools to support learning, visual communication leads to difficult use of sign language. This paper presents the research to build visualization system of sign language for the hearing impaired in Vietnam, focusing on quadrilateral mesh optimization for three-dimensional model from which is the base of visualization techniques act in three-dimensional graphics.
