STUDY OF PREPARATION AND BUILDING BASIC STANDARDS OF EXTRACTUM FROM SAI DAT (WEDELIA CHINENSIS MERR.) COLLECTED IN THAI NGUYEN

Abstract

Objectives: To prepare extractum from above ground parts of Sai dat. collected in Thai Nguyen; to build basic standards to test it. Subjects: Extractum was made from the extract of the above ground parts of  Sai dat collected in Thai Nguyen. Methods: Sai dat was collected in Thai Nguyen and tested under the Vietnam Pharmacopoeia IV; using distilled water to preparing the extractum; building some indicators to test it; finishing preparations. Results: Has prepared the extractum whose characteristics are soft, uniform, dark brown, fragrant and bitter; volume of extractum was 500 ml (from 500.35grs medicinal materials and excipients); 1% solution of it was acid. The main chemical components (flavonoids, coumarins and tannins) haven’t lost during preparation.
