TYPES OF DEMOCRATIC REGIME IN THE HISTORY AND THE PRESENT SOCIALIST DEMOCRATIC REGIME IN OUR COUNTRY

Abstract

This paper recaps the main contents of the definition of democracy, the establishment of democratic regime, and types of democratic regime in the history. The infancy of democratic regime has appeared from the primitive times with the form of clans’ discretion; however, it was not a political regime. Democracy with the characters of political regime exists in three types including slavery democratic regime, capitalism democratic regime and socialist democratic regime. This paper generalizes views and political lines of the Communist Party of Vietnam regarding to the building of new socialist democratic regime in our country, points out the limitations and proposes the principle solutions to build and improve our socialist democratic regime.
