IMPLEMENTATION RESULTS OF THE POVERTY REDUCTION PROGRAM IN THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE IN 2011-2015

Abstract

After 5 years of the implementation of the poverty reduction program in Thai Nguyen province (2011-2015), under the leadership of the provincial Party Committee, the direction of the provincial People's Committee and the sector leaders, the effort of the localities and the close coordination of mass organizations led many important targets to reach and exceed the goals set by the Resolution of the XVIII Provincial Party Congress. Many models of poverty reduction work were highly effective; Many poor farmer households were considered good producers; farmers' lives were improved and rural faces were gradually renovated. This shows that the poor, the poor and the poor have benefited directly from the achievement of development investment, whereas investment in development has created conditions and motivation for poor people and poor communes to escape from poverty sustainably. The interaction has been shown during the implementation of poverty reduction program in the last 5 years; accordingly, the rate of poor households has rapidly decreased from 20.57% in 2011 to 7.06% in 2015, reduced by 13.51%, equivalently, 36.668 households escaped from poverty.
