Abstract

Training, fostering and developing critical thinking for students at vocational education institutions is inevitable in the current trend. However, the research and teaching of critical thinking as an independent subject in the training program at vocational education institutions in general and Vinh Phuc College in particular has not been given due attention. Therefore, integrating training and developing critical thinking for students through the Political Education subject is profoundly meaningful in theoretical and practical significance, making a positive contribution to the cause of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of Education and Training in our country. Using methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, the article presents some theoretical issues about critical thinking, the role and necessity of developing critical thinking for students through teaching Political Education subject. Simultaneously, we propose some measures, such as: active modern teaching methods; develop critical thinking through teaching students how to ask questionable questions; strengthen the language ability of students through the explanation of terms in the teaching process in order to contribute to the development of critical thinking for students of Vinh Phuc College through this subject.
