Abstract

Statistics and probability enable students to perceive and analyze information presented in various forms. Having a statistical mindset will help students apply it to analyze data in a variety of real-world situations. Teaching situations are an important tool to help teachers create learning activities which are suitable for each content area, with examples, images, and illustrations to help students understand and apply statistics in practice. The article aims to systematize the theory of mathematics education in association with practice in general and the construction and exploitation of teaching situations associated with practice in teaching the topic "Statistics" for 10th grade students at high schools in Thai Nguyen province in particular. The article also proposes a number of teaching situations built in association with the real context in the province to help teachers balance and design effective learning activities and improve the learning quality of students in teaching the topic "Statistics" for grade 10 high school students in Thai Nguyen province.
