Abstract

Currently, countries around the world are entering the "Digital Era", applying digital transformation to all aspects of human life. This process has had a positive impact on many fields such as economics, culture, health care, defense,... including the field of education. Modern teaching trends focus on developing learners' competence. The article showed that project-based teaching activities (project teaching) and scientific research activities have many similarities. The author has synthesized and researched the theoretical basis for project teaching to develop students' scientific research competence. A number of teaching projects for students majoring in Mechatronics Engineering Technology have been developed and applied at Can Tho University of Technology. Research results showed that the project-based teaching method has a positive influence on the formation and development of students' scientific research competence. This result can be extended to students of other engineering majors such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology; Control and Automation Engineering Technology…
