Abstract

We simulated and calculated to optimize a broadband negative refractive index behavior base on  Plasmon hybridization in dishnet dimer metamaterials operating in the GHz frequency range. The results show that the distance between the two layers strongly influenced the intensity of the hybridization to expand negative permeability. Meanwhile, dielectric thickness, continuous wire width and disk radius strongly influenced to plasma frequency. The optimum structure was simple, independent of polarization and had the ratio of the double negative refractive index bandwidth to operational frequency approximately 12.8%. This result is an important step towards to practical applications using broadband negative refraction.
