Abstract

The article presents the construction and organization of teaching a number of STEM lessons in teaching the content "Lens" in Natural Sciences grade 9 with the aim of developing natural science competences for students. The research uses a combination of methods: survey and interview methods to investigate practice; theoretical analysis and synthesis; experimental methods combined with the use of criteria tables to evaluate experimental results. As a result, the research built 02 STEM lessons to use when teaching topic "Lens" in 9th class Natural Science. Pedagogical experiments show that some manifestations of Natural Science competences in students when studying lesson 2nd are better than those in lesson 1st. Hence, implementing two STEM lessons in teaching the topic "Lens" is feasible and contributing to helping students form and develop natural science competences.
