Based on recently herpetological collection from Bac Kan Province, we herein report two snakes of the family Colubridae, namely Myrrophis chinensis and Sinonatrix aequifasciata. Our findings bring the species number of the snakes to 41 in Bac Kan Province. Myrrophis chinensis from Bac Kan Province has morphological characters of the specimens agreed well with the descriptions of Smith (1943) [10], Nguyen Van Sang (2007) [4], Kumar et al. (2012) [7]; Myrrophis chinensis from Bac Kan Province has morphological characters of the specimens agreed well with the descriptions of Vogel et al. (2004) [11], Nguyen Van Sang (2007) [4], Le et al. (2015) [8]. In addition, we provide further morphological data for these newly recorded species.
