Abstract

On July 21, 1954, the Geneva Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in the three Indochinese countries was signed. In Vietnam, the armies of both sides ceased fire, within 300 days they had to regroup and transfer troops and hand over the area, taking the 17th parallel (along the Ben Hai River - Quang Tri) as a temporary military demarcation line. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct the regrouping and transferring activities of the revolutionary forces at the Ca Mau assembly area, which was one of the three regrouping areas of the revolutionary forces in the South with a duration of 200 days. Through historical, logical, analytical, and document research methods, the research results clearly show that despite many difficulties caused by the enemy after the ceasefire, thanks to the careful leadership and preparation of the Central Office for Southern Vietnam and the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee, the regrouping and transferring activities at the Ca Mau assembly area took place safely and on time.
