Bài viết này thiết kế theo phường pháp nghiên cứu tương quan-mô tả đánh giá về các tiêu chí thành công và thay đổi bền vững đối với các bên hưởng lợi cộng đồng từ dự án phát triển lâm nghiệp Việt Nam. Nghiên cứu dựa trên thông tin thu thập qua phỏng vấn và bảng hỏi với mô hình thang đo Likert qua 350 đối tượng hỏi với nhóm đa dạng mẫu (các bên hưởng lợi), đề xuất mô hình một chương trình đánh giá bền vững cho dự án phát triển lâm nghiệp. Tác giả đánh giá kết quả mô hình hồi quy thể hiện các biến độc lập bao gồm: (X1) thông tin/truyền thông hỗ trợ, (X2) hiểu biết và quan tâm của các bên hợp tác thực hiện, (X3) năng lực nhận thức và tham gia dự án của người dân, và (X4) năng lực của các tổ chức xã hội và hỗ trợ kỹ thuật. Và những thay đổi tích cực đối với cộng đồng hưởng lợi của dự án như là (1) tăng mức thu nhập, (2) cải thiện kiến thức và hiểu biết về dự án lâm nghiêp, (3) tiếp thu kỹ thuật lâm nghiệp, (4) cải thiện tham gia dự án hỗ trợ thông tin cho các chương trình chế biến lâm sản, và (5) cơ hội lớn cho lâm nghiệp thương mại và các cơ hội kinh doanh khác. Kết quả nghiên cứu chỉ ra việc sàng lọc loại bỏ ảnh hưởng môi trường và hệ sinh thái miền rừng, có nhiều triển vọng cho Dự án phát triển lâm nghiệp sẽ đóng góp đáng kể vào việc cải thiện đời sống dân cư vùng hưởng lợi từ dự án.
