A SIMPLE METHOD OF DERTERMINATION OF DEXAMETHASONE IN FUNCTIONAL FOODS USING ULTRA PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-TANDEM MASS SPECTROMETRY
About this article
Published: 31/07/17Abstract
A method based on ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC/MS/MS) as development for simply and rapid determination of the residues of dexamethasone in functional foods. The sample was extracted by MeOH: H2O (9:1) and then analyzed in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. Mobile phase was ultrapure water and acetonitrile (80:20). Under the optimized detection conditions, the linear range for dexamethasone is 0.5 - 5.0 mg/L, the linear correlation coefficients are more than 0.99. The recoveries of dexamethasone range from 73.33% - 103.4% with relative standard deviations (RSD) of 2.56 - 4.22%. This method is simply, effective, sensitive, which is suitable for the determination and confirmation of dexamethasone in functional foods.
