APPLICATION OF GIS AND F-AHP MULTI-CRITERIA ANALYSIS METHOD IN EVALUATING THE RATIONALITY OF PLANNING LOCATION OF LAND FOR INDUSTRIAL ZONES IN HUNG HA DISTRICT, THAI BINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Industrial zones in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province have made great contributions to growth of industrial production, enhancing exports and the competitiveness of the economy. However, the choice of locations for the planning of industrial zones are difficult issues by its enormous impact on the environment as well as human. The planning options sometimes are not feasible, the selection of planning locations are sometimes implemented on emotions, not actually a product of high intelligence, spatial distribution sometimes irrational. In order to solve these problems, the authors have applied the methods of AHP, Fuzzy and GIS technology for evaluating the rationality of planning locations of land for industrial zones in Hung Ha district, helping planners with an overview about land use planning options.
