MOUNTAINOUS SPACE IN NGOC GIAO’S PROSE

Abstract

In Ngoc Giao’s prose, mountainous space is both a contextual space as well as an impressive art object which associated with romantic aesthetic thought along with the characteristics and sentiments about a new land. This context has contributed a lot of value to the work and portrayed the character’s fate which has not been researched so far. Through the statistics, survey and analysis of Ngoc Giao’s literary values, we firstly noticed that: With the feeling of the characters in the work, mountainous area is strange, pristine and unfamiliar land but elegant, fresh and peaceful; the idea place of the fugitives from the misfortune reality; the journey to find new happiness of the characters; the close space is gradually affectionated with the rustic and upright humanity that has supported human beings in unhappy situations.
