THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL IN TEACHING HISTORY AT THE PRESENT HIGH SCHOOLS

This article introduces the Flipped Classroom model and the need of applying this model to teaching history in high school. The purpose of the Flipped Classroom model is to improve the quality of education as well as to develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and self-study capacity of the high school student. This teaching model becomes an increasingly popular instructional method in many countries over the world. This article summarizes quality researchs and articles studying this teaching model as well as shows the advantages and disadvantage of using the flipped learning approach in teaching History in high schools. Through this study, the author affirms the inportance of applying the Flipped Classroom model in teaching History in Vietnamese current high schools.
