FANTASTIC CHARACTER IN THE NOLE “THE CENTAUR IN THE GARDEN” BY MOACYR SCLIAR

Using interdisciplinary method and method of legal study in order to studying the fantastic trick by Moacyr Scliar in “The centaur in the garden”, the article contributes to clarify two types of fantastic characters of the work: characters have monstrous outward and extremely odd actions. This is one of the new experiences of the Brazilian writer that makes the characters appear not too strage but demolished, becomes very close; from that, the writer described the real world, but still has the mystery, polyhedron and complication of the present life. The result of the article' research not only contributes to asserting the talent as well as style of Moacyr Scliar, confirming a right direction in studying the fantasty literature but also pracically serves for learning and teaching Latin American literature in general and Brazilian literature in particular.
