Abstract

Fallopia multiflora (Thunb. ex Murray) Haraldson - Polygonaceae is a precious plant  that has been used commonly in traditional medicine in Vietnam. Fallopia multiflora  is an herbal remedy used to prevent aging and treat diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancers, however this species has been threatened because of over-exploitation. Fallopia multiflora  is propagated by seed, therefore, development of research on technical measures increasing seed yield and quality is essential. Therefore, the method focused on this study were crop density and crop season. The result showed that planting season for F. multiflora in moutainous regions is January with suitable planting density 40 x 40 cm has the highest seed productivity and quality.
