The resources of medicinal plants in Than Sa - Phuong Hoang Nature Reserve are quite diverse in species composition, using parts, uses and conservation values. The study results have identified 608 species belonging to 454 genera and 153 families belonging to 5 botanical branches including: Licopdiophyta, Equisetophyta, Polypodiophyta, Pinophyta and Magnoliophyta. The medicinal components here are quite diverse with 10 different parts, of which the most used parts are the leaves, stems and both tree. These parts can treat up to 31 different disease groups, from common to serious illness groups. The way people use drugs is quite diverse with 24 different ways. Besides, medicinal plant resources here are of high conservation value with 28 species threatened according to Vietnam Red Data Book (2007), 12 species according to Decree No 06/2019/NĐ-CP. Therefore, conservation and development of medicinal plant resources is essential.
