This study was carried out at Khe Giang solid waste treatment plant in 2019 to point out the environmental impacts and environmental protection implementation of the plant in reality. Main research methods were used include: document review; factory survey; key person interview; environmental sampling and analysis; and compare with the audit standards. The results have showed that the actual environmental impacts of the plant are negligible when the environmental quality of soil, groundwater and air is still very good. However, the surface water environment within 500 m around the plant is slightly polluted by organic substances (COD, BOD and Ammonium exceeding the permitted threshold of QCVN08: 2015). The environmental management system of the factory also has certain limitations such as unsecured wastewater treatment; change the incineration process but not reported to the management agency; hazardous waste storage system is not in accordance with regulations; some documents as regulating environmental protection rules, standard processes, labor safety, diary of environment system operation diary and case records have not been standardized.
