Abstract

Promoting people to use personal accounts for payment is one of the important contents in financial inclusion development because payment through accounts helps reduce costs, safety, increase transparency, and contribute to sustainable economic development. Using the Global Findex database of the World Bank in Vietnam, the paper conducts Vietnamese people using their accounts for payment. Thereby, the author applied the Binary Logistic regression statistical analysis method to evaluate the impact of demographic factors on the use of personal accounts in payment in Vietnam. The results show that the age, education level, and income all affect the individuals using the account to pay. In which educational attainment, income are two factors that have a positive correlation of payments through the account. The relationship between age and payments via personal accounts is nonlinear. From the research results, many policy implications are proposed to promote personal account payments in comprehensive finance in Vietnam.
