Abstract


Non-majored students study French as a second language at TNU - School of Foreign Languages often make mistake in using the word "aller". Therefore, the purpose of the study is to clarify the meaning of the word "aller" in French and its equivalent word "đi" in Vietnamese. More than 100 writing excercices were surveyed and synthesized to find out learners’ mistakes in using this word. There are grammatical mistakes about verb conjugation and lexical mistakes due to misunderstanding of the meaning of words. Research results are the basis to propose a number of solutions to help students limit mistales in their writing.
