RESEARCH ON REPRODUCTIVE CAPACITY OF DVN1 AND DVN2 SOW

Abstract


The study cary out on the growing pig and sow of DVN1 and DVN2 keep in Tam Diep Station for Research and Development nucleus pig breed – Thuy Phuong Pig Research Center, National Institute of Animal Husbandry. The result for sexual materity of growing pig show that: the first eatrus of DVN1 and DVN2 is equal, in tern as 180.87 and 181.17 days of age; the live body weight at first estrus is 127.30 kg for DVN1 and 127.90 kg for DVN2; the first service is 239.73 for DVN1 and 241.03 for DVN2 days of age; the first farrow is 354.87 and 355.90 days of age. Some reproductive capacity characterictics of DVN1 and DVN2 sow is rether high, namely: the piglet per litle is 11.03 of DVN21 and 10.79 of DVN2; the born alive per litle is 10.64 of DVN1 and 10.27 of DVN2; the weaning piglet per litle is 10.13 of DVN1 and 9.80 of DVN2; the weaning weight per litle is 67.10 kg of DVN1 and 65.27 kg of DVN2. Generally, this characterictics of DVN1 and DVN2 also tendentiously increase from first to third farrow.
