Collected information was analysed by using SPSS 20.0. The results revealed that most of respondents are female and students from Trade Union University which accounted for more than half of the respondents. The study showed that there were seven factors affecting the decision of starting a business, which include Market opportunity, Capital, Demand, Type of business, Education program, Supply source availability, and Business behavior. From these factors, business behavior has strongest effect while demand has lowest effect on the decision of the respondent. All of the control variables (age, gender, university) do not have relationship with decision in starting a business. From that, the author proposed solutions to encourage people to start a business, and recommendations to students, educational institutions, and to government and financial institutions.
