ORANGE PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION IN CAO PHONG DISTRICT IN HOA BINH, VIET NAM: BASIS FOR STANDARD COMPLIANCE READINESS

Abstract

The study was conducted to clarify the theoretical and practical issues in the development of VietGAP production of oranges, assess the status of VietGAP production and marketing of oranges, focus on the implementation of the VietGAP process in the production of oranges, and analyse factors affecting the development of orange production in the direction of VietGAP, from which orientation and solution were proposed to develop orange production in the direction of VietGAP. Based on the current development of production and analysis of factors affecting the development of Cao Phong orange production in the direction of good agricultural practice (VietGAP) in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, directions and measures were  implemented to promote the development of VietGAP province in the future. Accordingly, four varieties of oranges of Cao Phong district, including CS1 orange, Xa Doai oranges and Canh orange of Cao Phong were protected by geographical indications. This is an important turning point in the district's socio-economic development strategy and is an important premise to continue building and developing the Cao Phong orange brand.
