EFFECTIVEVESS OF USING PADLET TO SUPPORT STUDENTS IN BACKAN COLLEGE IN ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION PRACTISING

Abstract


Recently, technology has been a great aid to language teachers and students in learning foreign languages in general and practising English pronunciation in particular. The purpose of the study is for the investigation of the effectiveness of using padlet for practising English pronunciation for students in Bac Kan College. The author has applied experimental research method with the control group and experimental group. Two instruments for research are the pre-tests and post tests and the survey questionnaires. The results show that the scores of students’ posttest do not change much in comparison with the ones of students’ pre-test from control group. On contrary, the scores of students’ post-test increased considerably in comparison with the ones of students’ tests from experimental group. Besides, the author has collected the date from survey questionnaires concerning the usage of padlet in English Pronunciation practice. The increasing scores of students’ post-tests of experimental group and data from survey questionnaires have shown that using padlet for English pronunciation practice is effective. The study results are meaningful to the applications of new teaching methods in English pronunciation for students in Bac Kan College.
