Abstract


In all times, the selection and use of talents is considered the top national policy, the key to bring the country to a prosperous development. Aware of "genius is the national resource", right from the time he ascended to the throne, King Le Thanh Tong carried out a bold reform with many innovations in the selection and use of talents, serving the defense and construction of the country. The article focuses on clarifying the policy of selecting and appointing mandarins under Le Thanh Tong and the reference experiences for the training and employment of cadres and civil servants in Vietnam. By using historical, logical, analytical, and comparative research methods, the research has clarified the forms of recruitment, appointment, remuneration, reward and punishment regime for mandarins under Le Thanh Tong and the application of lessons learned in the training and employment of cadres in Vietnam today.
