ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN CONNECTION WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IN THE TIME OF INDUSTRIALIZATION, MODERNIZATION AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE MEKONG DELTA REGION

Abstract

The environment has always been a global concern. Environmental protection is both a goal and a fundamental element of sustainable development. The purpose of the article is to clarify the leadership of Vietnamese Communist Party in the protection of natural resources and the environment, especially in the Mekong Delta, thereby proposing some solutions for environmental protection and appropriate climate change adaptation for the Mekong Delta region. This article uses historical methods in data processing and applies analytical and synthesis methods.The result of this research has further clarified the process where Vietnamese Comumunist Party has gradually provided more and more appropriate instructions targeting the association between the economic development and the natural resources and environment protection during the accelerating process of industrialization and modernization, especially the policies and orientations regarding economic development in the Mekong Delta in the context of increasingly unpredictable climate change. The solutions proposed in this article will contribute to turning the region's difficulties and challenges into opportunities for the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta in the coming time.
