Marxist-Leninist philosophy is a very important subject in the formation of scientific thinking, equipping the materialistic worldview, revolutionary outlook on life, scientific methodology to orient cognitive and operational activities practice for students. In the 3 years of implementing the new program, the learning results of the Marxist-Leninist philosophy subject of students of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry have not been high. In this study, we use qualitative research methods, document research and meta-analytical methods to evaluate students' learning outcomes, thereby building a system of solutions to improve the learning outcomes of Marxist-Leninist philosophy for students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. Research results show that, there are 4 main reasons that lead to this situation: the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected teaching and assessment methods; the content of the program of Marxist-Leninist Philosophy is too large compared to the teaching time; Marxist-Leninist Philosophy is a difficult subject; The teacher's assessment method lacks practicality.
