Abstract

At present, there are many technologies used to design RF bandpass filters such as rectangular waveguide, cavity resonant, microstrip technologies, etc. In this paper, we present the design of an X-band pass filter using SIW (Substrate Integrated Waveguide) technology. The filter is designed on a Roger 5880 substrate with a microstrip line - SIW converter, increasing on-board integration, reducing cost and equipment complexity. Using HFSS software to simulate the filter parameters: the central working frequency is 9.2 GHz, the bandwidth is 400 MHz, the attenuation factor is low -1.16 dB, the reflection coefficient is less than -20 dB. The simulation results in the paper are also compared and evaluated with the results published in recent years. The filter is designed, with the size of 18x76 mm2, to be suitable for use in the receiver/transmitter modules of radar systems, communications, etc., working in the X band.
