Abstract


Thai Nguyen is a province in the Northern midlands and mountainous area of Vietnam, with many potentials and strengths for developing tea cultivation and processing. This article focuses on analyzing the development status of traditional tea villages through practice in some famous tea regions of Thai Nguyen province, includinh Tan Cuong (Thai Nguyen city), Trai Cai (Dong Hy district), and La Bang (Dai Tu district). The main research methods used include method of synthesis, analysis of documents, statistical methods, and field survey method. Research results show that traditional tea villages of Thai Nguyen province currently have been developed in terms of size, quantity, quality and been the main livelihood for many local people. However, the development of tea villages is not really commensurate with the potential and there are still limitations and shortcomings. In order to become a sustainable tea region associated with the unique cultural values of Thai Nguyen Tea, the province needs a synchronous combination of solutions that are appropriate in the current conditions.
