Abstract

Coherent speech is a complex speech activity that is important for the development of young children. Coherent speech not only helps children establish relationships with people around, determine and adjust behavioral standards in society, but also is a prerequisite for the development of children's personality. Because achieving a high level of coherent speech will help children have many opportunities in school and life, developing coherent speech is considered a core task of preschool language development. This study was conducted to provide orientations in building a cooperative relationship between preschool teachers and children's parents, which helps preschool 5-6 years old children have the opportunities to reinforce and develop coherent speech through storytelling activities at home. Theoretical research is the main method that is used in the article. This method allows to synthesize scientific articles and works related to coherent speech and coherent speech development, and present the core issues that involve coordination between the preschool teacher and the child's parents. The research results of the article can become useful suggestions to help preschool teachers improve and enhance the quality of cooperation with parents in child care and education; especially, helping the language development process for preschool children achieve sustainable efficiency.
