Abstract


Research into student attraction possibilities is currently significant for the maintenance and development of educational institutes. That is also the reason why this research was conducted at Kien Giang College. This study aims to analyze internal factors affecting students’ decision to choose the college for studying and then to provide some solutions for improving the possibilities of attracting students at Kien Giang College. The quantitative and qualitative methods were applied into collecting and analyzing collected data. As a result, the factor of training programs was believed to influence the students’ choice of studying at Kien Giang College the most. Additionally, other factors which were strongly concerned by participants consisted of support policies and continuing education opportunities, extracurricular activities, expenses, media activities, facilities, school reputation, learning environment and employment opportunities. In the final process of the research, some seminars were organized to deeply discuss among educational experts, and the insight interviews were conducted for some participants. Then, several solutions categorized into seven groups were proposed for student enrollment in future.
